I am a licensed aesthetician. I have a bachelor’s degree in science, concentrating in biochemistry. I also have a certification in permanent cosmetics education with 150 hours training in the state of Texas. Additionally, I have taken several advanced training courses concentrating in microblading, ombre shadowing, and nano shading.
Permanent makeup is used to enhance a natural yet classic look that is meant for everyday wear. Considering today’s active and/or busy lifestyles, PM is perfect for those who want to look and feel their best without needing to retouch or worry about their makeup rubbing or sweating off. Many people who have allergies to the ingredients in standard makeup will find permanent makeup extremely beneficial. We often receive requests from people who have difficulty applying cosmetics, or struggle with creating symmetry/shape, due to health challenges such as vision difficulty, hand dexterity from arthritis or stroke, and so on.
Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that enhances the eyebrows by creating hair-like strokes behind the existing natural eyebrow hair. By creating these pigmented strokes, we create the illusion of fluffy fully defined natural brows. A handheld tool is used to apply the pigment into the skin.
Ombre shading is a technique used to enhance the eyebrows by applying a gradient, from light at the beginning of the eyebrows to dark towards the arch and tail. Using a specialized machine, deposits of pixelated pigment are deposited into the skin, creating a powdery soft finish. Ombre shading is personalized just for you, whether you want a softer natural look or a more defined and polished style.
We use the “golden rule” to create eyebrows that are custom to your unique facial shape. Markers are used to create the front of your eyebrows, where your arch begins, and where the tail of your eyebrow ends. A unique measuring tool is used to create symmetry that is proportionate to each client’s face.
Topical anesthetics are used before and during the treatment. Sensitivity will vary from one individual to another.
Approximately 3-7 days after the initial treatment, the epithelial crust will start flaking and peeling, which can take 1-2 weeks. The entire healing process averages between 5-6 weeks sometimes 8 weeks based on the individual health of the client.

Permanent makeup will last for as long as it is maintained. Maintenance depends on how well the skin can retain the pigment and shade of color. After a touchup/color boost session, you can expect to have long-lasting eyebrows depending on the choice of color used, amount of sun exposure, and daily skin routine (use of anti-aging serum/chemical skin exfoliant).
